Subject: A case of pleasent surprize
In the totally unexpected category SS showed up in Lexicon Magazine's
Spring '98 issue's Current Playlist. But - we not only made it onto their
playlist we are in the number one position with our song "Nichiyobi"! Other
names on the list include Gary Numan, Propeller Heads, Air, China Crisis,
Kate Bush and Grace Jones.
In the copycat category Peter Godwin is coming out with a new CD with a
song called "Rendezvous" where he sings in English and the Fem vox is in
French. Can you say "People Go Out?"
In the "Next Event" category SS will be playing at least two shows with
Faith Assembly next month. The first will be at the Borders Books Moon's
day June 15th in Palo Alto on University Ave. We'll each play 3 songs or
so. Show starts at 1pm and goes until we are done or 2:30pm which ever
comes first. This is a lunch time show outside on their patio.
After that we'll be playing at Shrine of Lilith, a SF goth club, at the
Maritime Hall Woden's day, June 17th. This was the first club in SF to
spin our music! :)
We are actively scouting for shows for June in Sandy Eggo, SoCal, Sack of
Tomatoes, Santa's Barbara, and various other CA locations. July and August
will hopefully host some shows on the east coast, but more as that becomes
known.
Work on the CD is progressing. We are getting all kinds of help from our
friends. There are a lot of cool things in the works and a couple of
surprizes too. =8<>
