Minnasan genki?
Hello everyone. Lots has been going on since the last post. GothCon,
the SFGSI comp, many shows in the works and another CD on the way.
First off hello to all the folks that we met at GothCon. What a blast
that was. Denki Tiger had a table in the venders section where we sold
some CDs, did a pre-release with the San Francisco Goth Synth Industrial
compilation, and met a whole lot of new friends. Photos can be found at:
http://www.denki-tiger.com/gothcon
Many thanks to Snow from GothCon for putting it all together.
Denki Tiger will also be hosting a table at Fanime Con at the end of
April in Santa Clara:

San Francisco Goth Synth Industrial
Our most ambitious adventure to date - the SFGSI compilation 15 bands,
30 sponsors, and an hour of great music. In addition to being an audio
CD it's also a CD Rom. On the Rom there's an artist portfolio for each
band. In addition to the band's information there is resource section
that includes information on 30 scene related organizations that support
the goth synth industrial movement. And to top it all off the entire CD
Rom section is in both English and Japanese.
The Bands:
Claire Voyant, Trance to the Sun, Secret Secret, Bloodwire, Hungry Lucy,
Sunshine Blind, B! Machine, Information Society, Battery, See Colin
Slash, Ganymede, Moonlife, Galaxxy Chamber, Nuit, Mark Pistel

Minna san genki?
For the first time ever Denki Tiger had a table at Fanime Con:
http://www.fanime.com
Fanime was a blast - many people came by our table to picked up CDs,
hang out, chat, and there were many requests to join our mailing list.
Thank you so much to all the new folks! Also - a big thanks to our
friend Robert Miles for all his help at Fanime.
In addition to our table I participated in a J-Rock panel with Sachiko
Uchida - Tokyo's J-Wave super radio DJ. I was amazed how much she knew
and the great stories that she had to share with us, but she wasn't the
only one that made the event fun for me. The audience was full of
knowledgeable dedicated fans that were more then happy to participate.
We all had such a good time that we staid there for almost 3 hours! A
special thanks to everyone that attended our panel. I'm already looking
forward to next year's event.
Gakuensai SF
Speaking of events - we have a special surprise for you. In Japan the
colleges hold a musical party event at the end of the school year known
as Gakuensai where popular bands are invited to perform for the schools.
Well not wanting to break tradition San Francisco Japanese students are
promoting this celebration right here in SF. Gakuensai SF takes place
this Saturday May 4th at the Cat Land Music Studio - 1360 Mission St.
next to All Star Doughnuts, at 9th street across from the Guitar Center.
Yes Secret Secret will be performing!
Doors open at 7:30pm
Ages: 18+
Cover: $7, or $5 with flyer or a print out of this email.
Venue phone number: 415/836-9263
This will be our first live this year and we look forward to seeing you
once again.
